Oct. 24 Gathering: The myth of personal salvation

As we’ve been discussing embodiment and materiality over the past several weeks, much of our focus has been on looking past the duality of material vs. spiritual and individual vs. communal.

This week, we’re going to take the conversation a step further by discussing the myth of salvation as a personal/individual experience and how it can only happen in the context of relationships.

We’ll view a video from The Work of the People featuring Episcopalian priest, author, teacher, and mystic Cynthia Borgeault talking about what we mean by salvation, how information alone is insufficient for true transformation, and how a practiced theology influences relationships that influence loving acts of justice, compassion, and mercy.

Join us this Sunday, Oct. 24, in our New Wineskins Virtual Theology Pub for a lively conversation about the myth of personal salvation.

6:00pm EDT: Happy Half-Hour (informal meet & greet time)
6:30pm EDT: Presentation & conversation begins
