So far during our summer series on Community & Connectedness, we’ve talked about how being part of something bigger than ourselves, being deeply vulnerable, and embracing diversity are key elements to authentic communities.
This week, we explore a different question: can a community exist without art?
Singer-songwriter Jonathon Dewveall will join us this Sunday to lead a conversation rooted in music to help us explore the critical role art and the artist play in helping a community express its needs, desires, emotions, and—ultimately—its identity.
Using his “In The Corner” virtual house show model, Jonathon will lead us on a journey through music and dialogue to help us explore the vital intersections of art and community.
6:00pm EST: Happy Half-Hour (informal meet & greet time)
6:30pm EST: Presentation & conversation begin
