Western Christianity has long seen the physical and the spiritual as two separate realms (probably largely due to a misreading of Paul’s letters and the influences of Greco-Roman dualism).

But more and more, we are learning that embodiment is actually critical to a fully holistic spirituality.

So how did a faith tradition based on incarnation lose its sense of embodiment? And what can we do to regain it?
