Jan. 24 Gathering: Seeking Aliveness Part 3: Spirit

When we think about Spirit, is it something that simply inspires us in our private lives, through provoking certain thoughts, ideas, or actions? Or do we see Spirit as something that might move us collectively in the larger spheres of our public lives and interactions?

Is the Spirit something that simply comes upon us when we pray a certain prayer or confess a certain belief? Or is it something that arises from within us as we experience the presence of the Divine?

In Part 3 of our series on “Seeking Aliveness” from The Work of the People, we’ll hear author, speaker, and activist Brian McLaren talk about how both (theological) conservatives and liberals within Christianity have tended to view the work of Spirit and what it might look like for us to embrace a more holistic, integrative perspective.

Join us this Sunday, Jan. 24, in our New Wineskins Virtual Pub as we engage with Seeking Aliveness Part 3: Spirit through dialogue and conversation.

Zoom Connection opens at 6:00pm for Happy Half Hour
Conversation begins at 6:30pm
