Sept. 20 Gathering: Humor

We’re living in pretty serious times right now. Global pandemic. Strained race relations. Religious and political divisiveness. Economic tensions. Violence in our streets and in our homes.

One of the things that’s most difficult to hold onto in times like these is a sense of humor. Because, let’s face it, nothing really seems funny right now.

But science (remember science?) has shown us that laughter and levity are crucial to our mental, physical, and emotional health. And it’s no stretch to say that they’re also important to our spiritual health.

This week at New Wineskins, we’ll talk about how we can maintain a healthy sense of humor even in difficult times, and maybe even share a few of our favorite jokes or funny stories to keep things lively!

Fill your glass with your favorite beverage and join us Sunday, Sept. 20, in our New Wineskins Virtual Pub for a fun night of laughter and humor!

Happy Half-Hour Zoom connection opens at 6:00pm
Conversation starts at 6:30pm
