Do you ever think that the church in western culture doesn't look and smell enough like the Jesus of the Gospels?  Do you wish you could link up with a group of churches who think deeply about the Gospel and want to see God transform hearts and lives in this world?

When Jesus was asked why his disciples were doing things differently than either the Pharisees or John's disciples, he responded that "no one pours new wine into old wineskins" (Mark 2:21).  In other words, when the message changes, it will take new forms to convey it.  We believe that it is time for the message to change, for the church to get back to Christianity as a revolutionary new way of being, and as a revolutionary community to be a part of.  As we chase the Way of Jesus afresh, it will take a new kind of wineskin (a new kind of church) to convey the fresh life and message of God.

Welcome to New Wineskins, a simple network of churches focused on northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.  We believe it's time for a new kind of church, and we're looking for church planters to birth them.
